My dad made certain that every girl in our family undergo self defense training. He explained that Nevada can be a treacherous place and that he can’t promise to always be around when we need him.
My two sisters and I went to the sessions and we got to discover multiple techniques of self preservation. One meeting was reserved for learning about different non-lethal weapons and how to use them on an attacker.

Because of self defense training, I became more interested in stun guns. I went online to search for models that I can buy for my sisters and me. The self defense training really opened our eyes to all the scary things that could befall us at any moment. If we were not going to those seminars, we would be left in the dark.
It was thanks to my dad and his caution that my siblings and I are now ready for any emergency. We credit this to self defense training and to an appreciation for personal security devices.
